We are pretty happy with the platform bed. Very protected in the box. The instructions were only pics, which was easy to understand. Only labeling this bed 4 stars due to the slats not being manufactured closer together. The slats should be 3 inches apart for the best support according to online resources but are 3.5 inches apart. They did not specify otherwise but that’s ok we just got some plywood to help. However outside of that it’s 5 stars all around, looks just like the photo, beautiful color, feels well built. I recently purchased the Ophelia Solid Wood Platform Bed in the Chalk finish (King size) and I couldn’t be happier. This bed is everything I wanted and more. The chalk color is beautiful — it has that perfect weathered, driftwood look with subtle white undertones that make the natural wood grain pop without looking too gray or too brown. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. That being said, if you look carefully at the diagrams, you should be fine. Bed assembly is pretty straightforward. It does have a slight varnish smell that has started to fade after 3 days.. A.. So pretty! The wood on this bed is solid with a nice grain. It's a beautiful neutral oak color as you can see compared to our reddish red oak floors. The rattan is real not plastic and backed by a wood panel (so your head isn't going to crack or break the weave). The side boards are one solid piece (vs two shorter pieces patched together which is much less stable) and the platform rails have velcro on the ends to keep it from shifting around the bed.
