Dimming, brightening, or fading from color to colour are not really fading, a sequence of noticeable jumps. Speed adjustment for patterns ranges from manic to warp speed. Lights are great! Easy to install and so far all the bulbs worked. I purchased a while back but just recently got the chance to put them up and use them. I’m happy with how they work and how they look. Disappointed in these lights. I put the lights up and when I turned them on, I had two that did not work. I tightened them and they worked until the next day. And now I have four bulbs that are completely out. I will be returning this string of lights.  Update: Received new bulbs and they all work. Happy with customer service. I may amend this rating for a full 5 stars later but for now, they seem to work well. We hung them outside under our pool deck and over our pool. They are very pretty. They are easy to hang and the bulbs already came on the strand so I didn’t have to install each one myself. The solar panel took a while to charge but we were able to get them on for the first time last night. Once I get the second strand up, I’ll update my review accordingly. So far, I would recommend.
