All the witches ‘ hands are attached to each other. No directions but was easy to put together. My problem was that there was no stake to the polls. It would have been easier to put into the ground if there was a stake. The battery pack is located under the hat of the middle witch. That’s when instructions would have been useful. But the battery pack is in a pouch under the lip of the hat so it’s protected from the elements. Except for the missing stake , I would definitely recommend this product.
