Very nice hall bench with storage, pretty much what we needed. However, it was a BEAR to put together (and my husband is super good at putting things together). It took all day, there were a bajillion parts, screws, etc. and the instructions weren't necessarily in order of what goes next. I like how it looks and functions but wish the area up top was deeper for baskets (of hats and gloves). Maybe if the whole thing was deeper, the bench is shallow. I really like this hall tree. It is very spacious. All of the parts were accounted for and the directions were easy enough to follow. It did take my husband a while to put together because there was a lot of pieces. There is a texture to the surface thats kind of grainy, its not smooth. My only complaint is the cabinets are a different white than the base so it doesnt match. Its close enough I didnt send it back but still is a little annoying if you are looking closely.
