That ensures there is always water available in the reservoir. Just make sure the drainage plug is removed so that the water does not overfill the reservoir, potentially causing watering-logging and root rot.

The item is as pictured and is lovely. Treat it like a wreath the first couple of days up, spritzing with water to let the rope and basket recover from shipping. It will settle into its best configuration that way. If you don’t have food or plants in it yet, mix a little Pine Sol in the spritz water to remove rope and woven basket smells in your kitchen. These appear real nice. Their quality made plastic but they look nice and can’t wait to get my plants moved over into them and hopefully they’ll survive this heat.
