Third one of these that I have purchased. I found them easy to assemble, and they have a sturdy structure - love that they are solid wood (except for the backing). Have stained all with Minwax wood finish oil-based ‘Colonial Maple’ Semi-transparent interior stain. They look great ! Though the boxes had encountered some bumps and bruises, the contents within each of my shipments remained safe from harm - I would attribute that to the solid packaging. The bookcases fill my need and are the right size. I am very pleased to have a nice neat wall of storage and a sturdy table desk for my sewing machine and serger. They are not super well made for the money, but the plywood backing is at least screwed on rather than stapled. The hinges are sturdy and the doors are lined up evenly. To my taste the distressing is a little heavy handed But that’s a matter of personal preference. All in all I am happy enough with them. I have this cabinet in black! I absolutely love it! Only warning is drawers don’t have sliders , so feels a little antique-old to open, and the shelves can support too much weight, I don’t feel comfortable putting more than a half dozen liquor bottles on one side with glasses on the other side.
