Very impressive quality! This wood is absolutely solid and durable—the chairs easily hold 200lbs+. The wood grain is quite lovely and would look great with a stain, but we opted to paint. It turned out beautifully, there was only one small spot with a bit of wood glue on it that required a bit of elbow grease to sand down. Well made actual wood, not stained which gave me a chance to oil rub it and leave it a soft natural look, looks like a beautiful furniture piece :-)! My son is almost 2, he likes sitting in the big kid chair, he needs help getting in and out, I have to be careful with his weight distribution he’s a climber and can probably flip the chair.
