This set was very well built and is sturdy after assembly. The teal color we picked wasnt as bright as it looks in the pictures but we like it actually a little better so all is good. Be sure to pay attention of the two table legs that need to be in the middle so that the screw holes are there when you put the shelves on. Some of the pictures in the assembly didnt call attention to that. No matter just had to swap the for inside legs and reassemble it. Besides that all is good and you surely couldnt beat the price!. These are nice chairs, look good and are sturdy. If you plan to keep them in the shade or in a covered porch or patio then you should be fine. It can take a little water and sun exposure from time to time, but as long as its not exposed to the elements 24/7, it should be fine. We planned to keep this out in the yard and made the mistake of choosing these wooden chairs instead of HDPE. We live in Florida, and get extreme sun and also very heavy and frequent rain. I got tired of chasing down my cheap chairs after every storm so I got these 3 years ago. They are heavy enough not to blow away but still light enough to move around. And they fold away when needed. The color is through and through and they look great after 3 years in the weather. I liked mine so much I requested another pair for Mother's day and I love them. For more comfort I paired them with the footrest/ ottoman. But you don't have to, I just prefer it. These will last for years and are worth it. Oh, and the cupholder is like icing on the cake!
