Following his early forays into the form, Albert Ruger partnered with J.J. Stoner to form the imprint Ruger & Stoner that produced this stunning depiction of Greensboro in the decade before the turn of the twentieth century. By the 1890s, Greensboro had rebuilt its industrial and milling facilities and was enjoying a period of significant growth and prosperity. By 1900 the city was considered the center of the Southern textile industry. Significant numbers of immigrants flocked to the town, establishing neighborhoods and communities along cultural lines, many of which exist to this day. During this period, several architecturally significant civic buildings were completed, which remain popular attractions. Birdseye perspectives were widely popular during the nineteenth century and bear a signature style and distinctive aesthetic that immediately transports the viewer back in time, creating an indelible bond between the past and present. Ruger & Stoner were pioneers of the style, which served to attract residents and merchants alike by promoting prominent civic buildings, religious and educational institutions, and economic opportunities. This panoramic map depicts the city in a transitional time as it grew from a village to an important economic and cultural hub for the region. As the nation neared the turn of the century, considerable technological and cultural transformations shaped American society. The Gilded Age created substantial economic growth, and Greensboro became one of the South's most important and noted cities. Greensboro also developed as a significant educational center for the State and is home to two major public research facilities. Our museum quality giclee print comes printed with archival ink on premium heavyweight matte paper. Shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube your print will arrive ready to be framed. This map reproduction print makes the perfect gift for anyone that loves history and imagery.

From its bracket feet to the elegant pillars that support its edges, this 6 drawer chest has a unique design inspiration: an elegant antique hearth. A slender top drawer glides out to reveal a felt-bottom interior - perfect for delicate items like mobile devices, jewelry or wristwatches. The drawers below offer three mid-sized drawers and two larger drawers; the bottom drawer features a cedar panel bottom for a high-end feel. Custom drawer pulls and knobs are finished in an antique silver hue that highlights the warm brown finish and grey undertones in the flat-cut oak veneers.

While this is high quality and I really like it, I'm giving it 4 stars because it came damaged. When the assemblyman took it out of the box, we both noticed the damage immediately. However when he reported the damage to Wayfair, they called me right away before I even had a chance to report it myself and are sending a repair crew to hopefully fix the damage! Fingers crossed I don't need a replacement because it's very heavy indeed! I do think this is great quality and should last a lifetime.. Anissa. Chicago, IL. Thu Aug 07 2025

This art is even prettier in person! It’s lightweight, which makes it easier to hang. It has a nice texture and more vibrant colors than I expected. I will say the frame looks a bit darker (more walnut than oak) in person than the pictures show, but I liked that since my dining room has darker colors. Very happy with this piece!. Paula.
