This bedding is beautiful. I have an oversized mattress and this has enough coverage so that the mattress doesn’t show. I would say it’s medium weight and provides nice warmth. The insert was already in the duvet so I just opened the packge and started decorating. I was skeptical about buying a velvet comforter for year round use but I’m glad I purchased this.
