Couch is extremely well made…all fabric seams are straight and frame is solid. It is firm for seating but not unforgiving or uncomfortable..I feel it will hold up well. Fabric is a blue gray pillow ticking and high quality. I sprayed with Scotchgard but think spills would roll off anyway. Paid about $3900.00 for this piece, including taxes and white glove delivery. Least favorite purchase from Wayfair. The green color in the picture looks more gray-green in actuality. The underside of the cushions is not upholstered. Seams are obvious generally, but especially so around the nail-head assembly of the arms. If your looking for a plump rolled arm that's nice to lay your head on, this will disappoint -- as will the interior padding and throw pillows. The pillow-fringe is sparse. The fabric feels thin and rough to the touch. It's advertised as a synthetic/cotton mix, but it's hard to feel the cotton. Not a piece around which to center a room or color-scheme. This chair is super unique visually, very comfortable and all around a nice quality chair! It arrived quickly in a BIG box and assembly was simple. Visually the fabric and pattern are eye catching and bold. The material is a very soft printed fabric and it truly makes the chair super cozy. I do wonder if overtime the fabric will show signs of wear with such bright coloring and no texture to allow for color variations. As it is now, some of the fabric looks slightly brighter in areas than others and there are a couple of spots where the print has a "wrinkle" in it and the fabric looks as if it needs to be steamed out.
