We purchased these pillows to place on a grey pull out couch in our cabin. They worked out great. The grey plaid was a little darker in person than it looks in the picture but it still worked fine. The outer covering of the pillow is very soft and the filling must be down or a down-like product as it's very soft (almost squishy) as opposed to being firm (like a foam filling). It would be four stars if it were more expensive. You get a lot of wow for the price. Note that it doensn’t have the “overstuffed” look you get when you buy the cover and larger insert separately. You won’t be abe to do the karate chop. This pillow won’t give that over the top interior designer look. This is for a guest room.
