I have very poor lighting in my house and was thinking of installing recessed lighting, but then I found this, which is a much less expensive option. The lighting simulated the patterns of the sky, including sunrise and cloudy days. The remote is easy to use . Installation requires watching a you tube video, but that made it much easier . I have these lights in my daughters room and she loves them. These lights come in 9.2 and 18.4 ft. options in which we chose the longer strip. These lights are actually wall sconces attached to each other and are led lights coming in different color modes. There is a remote control included and an app as well to control the lights, as well as a switch. I believe the lights can be voice controlled and music can be synced with the app which gives you more information on the paper guide included in box. I probably wouldn't have bought something like this from Wayfair normally, but I lumped them in with other basement-related items I was getting and I'm glad I did! I had spent some time researching lights like this and a lot of them were either way more expensive and/or smaller, per unit, but these are a decent size, which makes for a cooler effect when they're all connected up together. Speaking of "effect", these lights are able to put on a show with a variety of patterns, some of which are selectable via the remote, but others for which you'll need the app, which is easy enough to setup and use. The music sync feature worked just OK, though I only tested it with a small speaker--maybe it'll work better with a more robust sound system in play. All-in-all, a solid product for the little project I was looking to do (you can see we have a nice little hallway in the basement for these to light up and have the kids run through). Note: I actually bought two sets of these and was able to get almost all of them connected, as you can see in the picture (I obviously hadn't mounted them yet), though there seems to be a limit to how *long* of a linkage you can create. If you look at the picture, any units I added on to the end would fail to light up, though that same unit would work if I connected it to the side of one of the lights already in the chain. I didn't spend a lot of time figuring out exactly what the limits are, but there seems to be something. I had never seen a ceiling light like this before and was pretty intrigued. The light itself is pretty large. We are planning to install it in a bedroom, however it would probably work well in a larger space like a living room. The light comes with a remote which can control the color and brightness. There is also an app that can be used to control the various functions of the smart light. We placed this smart wall washer light outside in our back yard to compliment our solar pathway lighting as it is very dark there. We needed additional lighting to brighten areas where potential "critters" might gather such as: skunks, racoons, cats, deer, fox, and the dreaded coyote.
