Overall, the shower curtain tension rod was very easy to install and will accomplish exactly what I needed it for. The tension mechanism fairly feels secure, no drilling was required, and installation was quick and straightforward. Shipping was also extremely fast, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, as soon as I unwrapped the rod, I noticed several areas that were damaged. The damage was clearly present right out of the packaging. Thankfully, once the shower curtain is installed on the rod, the damaged areas are not very noticeable, so I decided it was still usable. You'll see them in the pictures.
