Overall, the lamp is attractive and what I anticipated functionally. However, the stem to base connection is wobbly - no matter what I tightened or adjusted. I like the height and size of the shade. The box came through damaged, but the lamp seemed unaffected. There was a significant black smudge of something on the base that must have been there when it was packaged because it was on the insides of the plastic bag wrapped around the base.
