The lamps are well made, with good weight and easy to put together. There was no damage to the shades. The picture shows the lamps with an aged/antique and matte surface - exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the 2 I received were quite “brassy” and glossy. The finish is great. The style and adjustability, as well as the brightness of the light, all wonderful. What I don't love it that the cord doesn't feed through the entire base and out the bottom for a discreet plug in.
