Global Cutlery Lightweight Chef Knife

The Miyabi Black 5000MCD is a true work of art. The blade is constructed of micro-carbide powdered MC66 steel, which is ice-hardened to an impressive 66 HRC. This results in an exceptionally sharp and lasting edge. The blade is wrapped in 132 additional layers of steel, resulting in a beautiful flower Damascus pattern. The handle of the Miyabi Black series is made from unique wood, black ash. The grain and color of the black ash contrast with the Damascus of the blade. The handle is crafted in a traditional "D" shape, providing optimal ergonomics for fatigue-free cutting in the kitchen. Handcrafted in Seki, Japan.

The cook's knife is perfect for cutting meat, vegetables, fish, and more, while the paring knife is ideal for intricate prep work like peeling and shaping veggies or coring fruit.

I can’t believe I was finally able to afford these global knives! Anthony Bourdain, of No Reservations fame, said that it was unnecessary to buy numerous different knives. He said all we needed was a Global chef knife and a Global paring knife. I researched this and was disappointed to find that these knives are very expensive since they are world class Japanese knives. Then I saw that Wayfair offered this exact set of Global knives at a ridiculously affordable price! Thanks Wayfair!. Susan. Houston, TX. Sat Apr 19 2025

Zwilling Pro is the most user-friendly knife available to the market. The blade was redesigned with a broader curve in the front to facilitate the rocking motion of Western cutting, while the straight back is ideal for the Asian chopping motion. The full length of the blade can be used when cutting and can be sharpened from bolster to tip Designed in Italy by Matteo Thun and made in Germany by Zwilling J.A. Henckels, the company that sets the standard for exceptional cutlery worldwide. With Zwilling Pro, we introduced an optimized chef's knife blade shape. Through years of experience in professional kitchens, some chefs have grown accustomed to and therefore prefer the traditional blade shape of the chef's knife. To enable these chefs to benefit from the new curved bolster, we have combined the innovative bolster shape with the classic blade shape.

great knife very sharp. Miin - Chang. Victoria, TX. Tue May 12 2026

High-carbon CR17 stainless steel blade. To boost its sturdiness, the steel contains 0.6-0.75 carbon. This makes it two times as hard as other knives in its class, as they contain about 0.3% carbon. Beautiful pattern: the special waved pattern blade is particularly striking (CR17 stainless steel kitchen knives, not real Damascus). Your investment is fully guaranteed. We offer a lifetime warranty and return policy. Ultra-sharp edge: it features an HRC (Rockwell hardness scale) of 57-58, which makes it among the toughest knives in its class. The thickness of this kitchen knife is 2.5mm. Ergonomically shaped handle: The blade of this chef knife is seamlessly integrated with the soft and comfortable Pakkawood handle, creating a perfect grip. The ergonomic shape strikes the right balance between the handle and the thin blade, ensuring ease of movement.
