This classic glass teapot with a cute chamomile design is absolutely precious. My brewed hibiscus tea looks so pretty in it. On my teapot, there is a flaw, a brown rough patch right below the spout. It doesn’t really bother me, obviously the pot works fine. It’s nice to have the strainer inside. The lid fits nice and snug in it. Although when the strainer is discarded, the lid is quite loose. The glass is thick and heavy to retain heat and the handle is comfortable to hold. The filter is designed for loose leaf tea and the wood lid helps retain heat and serves as a coaster. Made in France, the glass is fired at very high temperatures producing an exceptional quality glass that is crystal clear and durable. A pressure seam is sometimes visible, which is the mark left by opening the mould in which the glass is pressed. It is a characteristic of traditional French pressed machine glass.
