Love the glass on this fixture! I a similar style wall sconce that I did not like because it was simply the candle with a bare bulb. I have been looking for something to replace it for a long while that wouldn't break the bank. This is perfect value and style. The glass is thick with an almost hand-blown look...the are little bubbles. The gold color is not too bright. It is a painted finish and not true brass but that is also why it is a great value. The color was the same tone when compared so my super pricy brass Richelieu drawer pulls in the kitchen. This is actually a cute fixture but gave it two starts because the description online was messed up. Matte black picture said it was gold and gold picture said it was black. I took a chance and ordered based on the description and got the wrong color. Customer service said there was an error in the scue numbers and until that was cleared up I wouldn't be able to order the correct color. That's the reason for the rating.
