Very solid desk. Weighed 85 lbs in total, took me an afternoon to put together. Overall I’ve been very happy with it. Couple downsides- the instructions are straightforward but get a little confusing when connecting the tilting desk to the base. Also it’s very heavy- I got it to draw on 11x17 paper and it’s overbuilt for that (I prefer that tho). Wish there was a way to upgrade or add a drafting bar. So far I love it ~ even if I swore a few times assembling it. It took me approximately 2 hours to assemble but I rarely take on these kinds of projects so I may be slower than others. You MUST have a wrench or pliers to tighten the nut. Thank goodness for my dad who responded to my frustrated text “Honey, those are lock nuts.
