I received these sheets as a gift and just wash them for the first time on a gentle cycle cold water. My washing machine does not have the middle piece so it's open and prevents fabrics from getting damaged. After these were washed I opened the washer to twisted sheets and pillow cases with a ton of white string. Since these have a frayed edge I am hoping this just happens with the first wash. I have place to call to customer service to get more insight. I'm a big fan of annaselkie and this is the first experience I'm having with one of my bedding sets. These are nice sheets, they are definitely feeling as if they are 100 cotton. These are nice and lightweight sheets. They do seem a little in the thinthread bear side. Before I washed these sheets they felt softer. Almost like they might be a brushed cotton. Or Sateen. Now the sheets feel stiffer and crisp. Which isn’t a bad thing.
