Love! I took measurements to make sure he would be the right size to sit by my couch or on the hearth. In the photo below, he is on the hearth. He has such a sweet face. I have several giraffes in my living room, from small to almost 7 feet tall. Zari is a darling addition. These gorgeous Olivewood Giraffes are carved by hand by master carvers in Zimbabwe, with whom we have been working with for over 20 years. Giraffes are known throughout Africa for their natural curiosity. Twiza is the name for giraffe in the language of the Shona people of Zimbabwe. An old African folktale tells of God speaking to his newly created animals as to their purpose on earth. As God spoke to Twiza, she stretched her neck to heaven to hear more clearly. God was pleased and gave her a long, elegant neck so she could reach the leaves of the tallest trees - and as a sign to others that extra effort is rewarded.

So happy with my purchase! The giraffe was shipped with care. The giraffe made with Olive wood looks beautiful in person.. Diana. Florida. Tue Jan 20 2026

I have a “thing” about elephants. I love this! It’s in my sun room. Seems to reflect light well at night. It doesn’t get full light in my sun room all day though. I’m more interested in the statue. I bought the little statue of a poodle several months ago. It looks just like my little maltipoo and I love it. Therefore, I felt confident in purchasing the elephant statue. It was quality. In fact I ordered another one!. Anita. New Albany, IN. Thu Jul 09 2026
