We tried reaching out to Wayfair customer service but was told nothing could be done. The chairs are adult owned and used - no harsh treatment by any means. We feel disappointed in the quality (or lack of), but also in Wayfair's refusal to stand behind a product they sold. It is the fact that it is electric and it has to be plugged in in the house that we are currently in, we have to float our couch rather than putting it up against the wall, so we have to tuck it underneath the cord which of course leaves a hump, which is a nuisance, but hopefully at our next house that we will be moving too soon we will be able to put it up against the wall! I got the smaller sized chair and it fits me so much better than the large ones do. My arms are not stretched out to the sides so much in order to reach the arm rests and they aren't so tall to make my shoulders bunch up. The adjustable headrest also is closer to my neck level rather than making my head tilt down when I extend it, It actually moves my neck forward as well as my head. It is wonderful to have storage compartments in the wasted space on the sides of the chair too. I can put the ipad/device holder inside one of them when I am not using it. It is wonderful not to have to run a cord across the room in order to charge my phone as well. I LOVE THIS CHAIR. I love La Z Boy rocker recliners and have had them for over 50 years, but this is the best one yet. The speed of the footrest lowering is the fastest yet. That home button is GREAT!
