After letting the featherbed air out for over 24 hours, it puffed up nicely and is very nice on my bed. It does need some fluffing weekly, so I fluff it when I change the sheets. I had no odor at all in this comfortable featherbed.. Jayne. Fairhaven, MA. Sat Sep 26 2026

Two distinct layers bring together the plush comfort of down and the supportive resilience of feathers in the Down-Top Featherbed. A baffle-box top layer filled with 650 fill power white down creates a soft, lofty surface that gently cushions the body, while a 4-inch channel-constructed feather layer beneath provides substantial support and helps prevent the featherbed from compressing completely against the mattress. Each layer is paired with a fabric suited to its role: a smooth 230 thread count cotton cambric top offers a comfortable surface against the body, while a durable 195 thread count cotton twill bottom provides a sturdy foundation. A 3-inch gusset maintains the featherbed’s lofty profile from center to edge for a fuller, more consistent feel across the sleep surface.

My only complaint about this is that it makes me never want to leave my bed :). Alyssa. York, PA. Wed Feb 13 2019

Not as thick as I had hoped, closer to a thick mattress cover. Not much different from a down blanket, really. Still, it’s a great deal for something that is great for your health due to it being hypoallergenic and good for your skin! It’s basically a nice topper for firming up a foam mattress, or adding a hypoallergenic layer overtop something that’s not rated as being very “green”. We first tried this over a firm latex pad, and it did not add much noticeable improvement in thickness or softness. Next, we tried this down pad over a 2 inch thick foam pad, and it made all the difference! I am not at all a fan of foam pads. However, using this topper over the foam pad makes the foam less susceptible to sinking! Love it! We are all finally comfortable, after a bit of experimenting and mixing layers to match our very specific and individually unique needs.. Julia. Earthship In The Mountains. Sat May 30 2026

Turn any bed into a pillow top with Naturepedic’s Box-Stitched Organic Latex Mattress Topper. Shredded latex filling provides a plush, responsive feel that adapts effortlessly to your body's contours, offering unparalleled support and pressure relief – all without any of the GOTS-prohibited chemicals or polyurethane foam you might find in traditional toppers (and no chemical flame retardants, either!). This 3-inch mattress topper features a durable, box-stitched design that not only adds an elegant touch, but also ensures the filling remains evenly distributed for consistent comfort. A plush, pillow top feel meets body-contouring support for luxurious comfort every night.

This really saved our still new mattress that was feeling too hard. Pluses are that you can remove the pillows to wash the lovely organic cotton cover There are 70(!) small latex pillows in the queen size which means it will take some time to remove/ put them back it but it’s worth it. I let the pillows air out for a few days.. there is still a latex smell but hoping with time it will wear off. One thing to note. We tried it with a wool mattress protector on top of the topper. That made the latex squish together too much (feeling too firm) so we tried it with just a sheet over and that’s MUCH better. It allows the shredded latex to expand and do its thing. Also interestingly with the wool mattress protector underneath the latex topper, we felt we slept cooler. So I don’t think this topper sleeps hot at all.
