Aesthetically it’s a nice touch of a more contemporary design with clean lines. Sizing isn’t too large for the entryway area we installed it. This pendant is gorgeous! It was easy to assemble and has several rods for you to adjust the length. It took one person under 20 minutes to assemble, hanging is a different story. I have a large pantry with a window, it has to sit high enough up that we don’t hit our heads with our 9’ ceilings. The wood is faux, made of some kind of metal. It takes standard sized chandelier bulbs. It lets off a lot of light, so I love that it is dimmable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost I did not use this light in my foyer, I bought a second one of the same pendant lights and used them over my newly installed kitchen island. The midnight chrome is absolutely beautiful and has modern touches to it. I like how well it dresses up my kitchen area. I liked the Downtown Deco collection so much that I also bought the convertible chandelier light for above my dining table as well. The pendant light puts off just the right amount of light and since I have mine connected to a dimmer switch I can adjust the lighting for any occasion. This is a high quality product that was very easy to install once I got the electrical ran to the position in the ceiling I needed it at. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.
