This is a fabulous addition for a cover on our side porch. It was a challenge to put it together, but We completed the task in a day with just 2 people. Great looking pergola with easy to follow instructions. Took two adults about 7 hours to build with breaks in between. We also used the recommended expansion bolts to secure it to our cement patio. The wood is very soft so it does dent and scratch easily while we were building it but it doesnt look bad at all. Love this arbor! The instructions were very user‑friendly, and overall the assembly was straightforward. It definitely requires two people to put together, but once you get going it comes together nicely. I did have to redrill the holes where the rail attaches to the side lattice, but aside from that the process was simple. This took two people almost 8 hours to put together. The directions are fairly clear however it is recommended to read the directions entirely or at least 3 steps ahead before each step. The hardware is not magnetic, with an application like this that is something that is almost necessary. The DD (most commonly used) screw heads were mostly faulty and stripped very easily. Time was added to assembly because of faulty hardware issues. There are three phases, after the first phase it does become a little quicker. The first phase is the frame and takes some engineering. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE BOLTS until the end of each step. I chose this item for a carport as shown in the photos. It is recommended to use three people although it will not reduce the amount of time that it took to put it together but will make it easier when putting the 2 ends together will the top rails. The end product is very nice, maybe allow 2 days to complete with less frustration and make sure you have some shade. also, wait to unwrap the panels until installing them - they scratch very easily and can bend out of shape if not handled correctly. We finally got this gazebo up. Love the final look but it was a process to get here. It took 3 people roughly 10-12 hours to complete this. The instructions are fine but I think order of them could make more sense for the roof attachment. The instructions also never tell you what tools to use if each step which would have been nice. There’s so many parts that we needed a little more guidance with that part. We also had all 4 of the posts scratched upon arrival. They scratch easy but thankfully it comes with touch up stain. We used different anchor bolts to attach the base to our concrete because it didn’t seem to work with the 38” hole that they recommend. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this arbor it is nice wood and the color is very nice as well, I would advise you determine and measure first the location you want this to be placed as it is bigger than you might think.
