One year ago I bought a cheaper pergola from another company; it had the nylon roof you pull back with a cord, no side screens available. The roof was flimsy and noisy whenever there was a breeze, and if you forgot to close it tight before a rain, the weight of the water was going to tear it . It actually wasn’t 10x10 as advertised, maybe 9x9, and the sun came under the east & west sides, no you were seldom shielded from the sun. So I tried Wayfair after noticing my neighbor’s, got the same one only I ordered the pulldown screens for 2 sides. It also has a louvered metal roof ( huge improvement), we love it! I really liked this pergola. We needed some extra shade for our goat pen to provide extra shade and it works perfect. We did switch out the bungees that were included to a stronger bungee due to the high winds we have and they fit great. Easy to install and it took my husband and I about an hour to install. Instructions were easy to follow and all the parts were properly labeled. We also used flower pots and cemented the legs in them to provide extra weight. It is very nice and more sturdy that I thought it would be. We didn’t bolt it to the deck because we didn’t want to drill into Trex. But we did bolt it to the house which worked good. The instructions are a little confusing in some parts because the pictures are tiny. And after I sliced my finger pretty good on the metal roof, I understood why they give you gloves. Razor sharp. Decent brackets for the money. Pros: Affordable. Dimensionally they are very consistent. Cons: I did have one start to separate at the top. I don't fault the bracket. I believe it happened when we were trying to stand the Pergola. I did order some corner braces as well to keep everything from swaying. One tip I would give is make sure you check fitment with your lumber before you assemble. I had to sand all of my pressure treated posts and check fit.
