Tuned to beautiful melodies and scales from around the world and available in a wide range of styles, songs, and sizes, you can choose the Woodstock Chime that speaks to your soul. How it all began. Garry and his wife Diane founded Woodstock Chimes / Woodstock Percussion, in 1979 and it remains based in New York's Hudson Valley. GRAMMY Award-winning musician Garry Kvistad created the first Woodstock Chime from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. As a professional musician and instrument designer, he was fascinated by the Scales of Olympos, a 7th-century pentatonic scale that can't be played on a modern piano. Garry had the idea to cut and tune the lawn chair chime tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The resulting Chimes of Olympos was the first Woodstock Chime and is still one of our best-selling wind chimes.

Bells have been used throughout the ages to accompany dance, provide comfort, and warn of possible danger. The Chinese were the first to control the pitch or note of a bell, making it possible for them to play tunes. Soon bells were being used to accompany worship. On New Year's Eve, the bells in Buddhist temples are rung 108 times, once for each of the 108 worldly desires. In the East, bells have become very important and are often decorated with significant symbols. For centuries, tuned bells have been suspended in homes and temples to ward off evil and attract good luck and prosperity. Temple Bells Wind Chime is inspired by these ancient bells and works in harmony with the wind to create gentle, soothing tones.

This handcrafted, wind-activated bell, with its bold tone and design, functions nicely as a welcome bell at any entrance to your home or garden. They tone their bells to unite two important ways the instrument vibrates. One is the sound of the bell itself and the other is the hollow chamber inside the bell that acts like an organ pipe. The slots on the sides of the bell are the secret to this unique coupling. The result is a rich sound with much depth and beauty. This steel ball has been coated with a handsome, durable finish, so you can enjoy it for years to come. Hang your Heroic Large Wind Chime in a breezy spot and let it play in the wind.

The Heroic Windbell™ Wind Chime is a very nice chime. Made with quality metal material and the sound of the chime is beautiful. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is extremely heavy. I bought it to hang on a shepards hook by our pool but it is way too heavy. We will need to get a strong mounted hook to support its weight. Overall very happy because it is a uniquie item.. Bonny. This balloon spinner is a beautiful addition to my outdoor décor, but there are a few drawbacks worth mentioning. The colors are vibrant during the day, but I’ve noticed that the orange spinner consistently illuminates darker than the purple and green ones (I own five total). I believe this is due to the deeper orange and purple tones. It's important to be aware of this if you order more than one color. One important detail Wayfair should mention is that this is an adjustable wind spinner. The pole comes in three screw‑together sections, allowing you to choose the full height or a shorter setup using only two sections. I wish I had known this earlier — I initially avoided these and bought the hanging balloon spinners instead because I thought the wind spinners came in only one height. I purchased two of these, and unfortunately, the batteries in both did not work. Be prepared to buy rechargeable replacements right away. I learned this the hard way after charging the original battery for eight hours and getting zero illumination that night. Lastly, this orange spinner is actually a replacement for the first one I received, which arrived with several cosmetic issues such as chipped and missing paint. It looked like an open‑box return, even though I paid full price. Wayfair really needs stronger quality control. I’d hate for the item I returned to be sent to someone else and cause the same disappointment.. Deanna. Wisconsin. Mon Jun 15 2026
