This potting bench works perfectly for me. It fits well within the space and is quite sturdy. It took the assembler about 45 minutes to put it together on my back porch, where it is now. Originally, I was going to paint it black to match the trim on my home. However, the brownish/gray color actually kind of blends in. So I am leaving it and considering painting it after a couple of years to freshen it up, rather than right now when it's new. The little plastic sink unit is nice and easily comes out to fill and/or dump its contents. The drawer is nice for items you want near by but out of the weather. There is a pretty sturdy plastic cloth that fits on top to cover the items below and keep them dry. I would expect that it protects the wood, too. I am pleased with this purchase.. Dyanne. I'm super delighted with this potting shed. We purchased it, in the 'natural' color, to use in our rec room as a china hutch. I was initially afraid that it would look too 'potting bench-ish' to be used as such. Once it was assembled, though, I found that it was even better than I had hoped. The existing wood in the rec room is a warm oak with a satin finish. The color of the potting shed was very much the same but with a matt finish. I fixed that by coating the wood with Howard's Feed-N-Wax wood polish and conditioner which not only gave the wood a slight sheen but deepened the color for an even better match with existing wood. NOTE 1: I originally, purchased two of these for the rec room based on measurements provided in the real estate listing for our new house. Once we got in the house, we found that, while I could fit both in the recroom, it gave the room a very crowded, over-stuffed look. So, we sent one back and kept one. Customer service was fabulous and the return was simple! NOTE 2: The assembly was time consuming even for my husband who is quite comfortable with wood working in general. But definitely worth it. It was easy to put together with the exception of the top’s “picture frame” that took a little bit of thinking. The wood was pre-drilled and the engineering on this construction is delightful. The parts fits together very well with self-evident features (grooves) in the wood panels that serve as a helpful guide. It took about two hours to construct and it was helpful to have a helper to brace it. We used an electric drillscrewdriver, a socket wrench and a regular screwdriver. We added a hole in the bottom panel to run an electric cord through. I think this sturdy little cabinet is going to last a long time.. Wendy. Dallas, TX. Tue Sep 08 2026

Cool shelf, took around an hour to put together. The top and bottom shelves dont jus slip into the sides, I had to run the screws thru to pull them into place. Has a strong chemical smell that hopefully will go away. Made in China.. Danny H. Stilwell, Ok.. Mon Sep 07 2026
