The arbor is beautiful and strong. I gave it 4 stars because there is an issue. The lattice is made of very thin cedar (less than 1/4 of an inch) and it is stapled together. A few or the staples came loose during assembly and will need to be redone. I am considering adding stronger cedar boards on the sides to strengthen it. At this price point, I think the manufacturer should have used stronger wood for the lattice. There were also a few bumps and marks, but these were minor. I love the assembly service that Wayfair provided. The handyman was great. He was on timely, proficient and sensitive to my needs.. Judy. Maryland. Sun Aug 09 2026

Overall it seems well made and easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The one question about when the arbor could be painted was answered by the company very promptly. The only negative was that two of the 4" lag screws used to attach the top of the arbor to the sides sheared in half while being "manually" screwed in with a hex screw driver. Had to get replacement bolts to finish putting it together. Strongly suggest you get some extra hardware and return to the store if not needed. Very happy so far ( 2days) with the final product.. 1 of 2 built! I’m disabled and I was able to build it myself. Very simple and extremely light. The hard part in my opinion was digging holes to anchor it in the ground and making sure it was level. This arbor is exactly what I wanted for my native honeysuckle: solid wood, salt treated, not flimsy. Rounded edges, anchors included. I have very sandy soil where I put this arbor so I had to use extra anchors: 4 foot rebar pounded almost 3 feet in, and I think that'll do unless we get some serious weather. It took me several hours to put together just from having to drill the holes for the top bars and the anchors, if they had been pre-drilled this would be 5 stars.. Teresa. Middleburg, VA.
