Being a 90's kid, I expected this bean bag to have those little foam beans in it or to be plush. It is a little on the firm side, and you can feel the lumps of foam inside the bag. We put it in our 11yo son's room and it's a great place to have his friends hang out, and at their size, they've even slept overnight on it.
