Love this stool, however somehow the fur underneath the protective plastic wrap must have gotten wet. The fur underneath was very stiff and all stuck together? Not soft at all. I took a soft vent brush to unstick the fur. Took quite awhile working carefully not to pull out any fur. But not sure how the fur got so stiff and stuck together? My new favorite ottoman and vanity stool in one. It arrived quickly in a small box because the legs were in the ottoman. It comes wrapped in plastic as one of my photos shows, which kept the ivory colored fur clean. The faux fur is close enough to the real thing that Oscar took over assembly, curled up on the seat of the vanity stool, and slept there most of that day! When I finally got to finish assembling my new vanity stool, it took me only about 15 minutes. I agree with my boys--the faux fur is soft, and the seat is well padded and very comfy. I am using this as a vanity stool, and the extra storage space is fantastic. Now I have a place to store my hair dryer and flat iron, plus hair spray, brushes, and a makeup bag. Previously, the hair accessories were on the floor, and my makeup had spread over the entire top of the vanity. With this storage space, it is easy to straighten up my dressing room. At first, I was hesitant to sit down on the stool because the metal legs are thin, and the whole piece seems too delicate for daily use as a seat. But the stool is sturdy, and it is fine holding me. Really nice and much more expensive looking than the cost. It is sturdy and has good weight to it… once it gets put together properly. However, I gave it 4 stars because all the fur makes it really difficult to get the screws going and in tightly since the fur would wind up in the threads and it’s have to back it out and clear off the threads and start over.
