It has a thick, Jersey fabric covering it which makes it so soft. The mattress itself is very comfortable and not at all like a stiff, hard foam. You can feel that its memory foam and our guest love it. It’s easy to fold up and move thanks to the attached handles. One person job. We definitely recommend this mattress!. Jb. Illinois.
