This crate is perfect. The packaging protected the product during shipping. The instructions were easy to follow (not always the case with furniture). It took less than 30 minutes to build and it is solid, which is great because our dog is an escape artist! I was a little worried by the 1 star and 2 star reviews about the latching hardware not being good. PLEASE IGNORE THOSE! It is obvious that they missed an important step in the instructions regarding spring loaded latches for the inside of the left front gate. This thing is a monster to put together! I would definitely recommend sliding aside a decent amount of time and having a helper. Looks just like it did in the pictures. I was worried it might appear too rustic for our living room but it does not. It was fairly easy to put together, having a second set of hands definitely helped. Thankfully, unlike the experience of some reviewers, all the the holes lined up perfectly for us.
