I had been looking for a few new Adirondack chairs to put around my chiminea and decided to give these a try. They arrived quickly and were very easy to put together thanks to the clear instructions. What I like most is that they fold up for storage, which is a huge plus compared to some of my older chairs. The material feels sturdy and is higher quality than I expected. They are comfortable to sit in for long periods of time while relaxing by the fire or enjoying a summer evening in the yard. My kids love them so much that they are constantly arguing over who gets to use them. I may end up ordering a few more just to keep everyone happy. This chair was not hard to put together but it wasn’t easy either. It took two of us because the way it was constructed, one person had to hold the pieces while the other put the screws in or else the pieces wouldn’t line up right for the screws to go in all the way. Once we got them together, I really liked how they looked and fit in our space. They are comfortable however, you can definitely feel the braces underneath. I plan on getting a memory foam pad to cut to size and put under the cushion in hopes I can’t feel them as much. The image also makes it seem like you sit up more than you actually do. When leaning back against the cushion, you are semi-lying down. We needed to put a firm pillow behind our back to be in a more upright, sitting position. Nice chairs, stylish design. We applied 3 very thin layers of Tung oil (thin layer on, immediately wipe off) over 3 days to help protect the finish. The chairs are comfortable. The sofa is less comfortable as the back is too straight. (You feel like you have to sit “at attention”.) Cushions are nice.
