Like some of the other reviews mentioned, it does take some time, but I chose to build it in sections over two days, which made the process very manageable. I was able to assemble almost the entire bed myself. My husband only had to help me carry the bookcase sections upstairs because of their size. For the price, I think this bed is an excellent value. It completely changed the look and feel of my daughters room and gives her a fun, cozy setup that she genuinely enjoys. Is a cute bed. Its easy to put together, and I like that the trundle raises to become a queen sized bed. The downside is that the hardware doesnt match the white bed, so ends dont look great. This bed needs to be tucked into a space when both ends are facing a wall, or both ends are covered in stone way. The finials (the globe pieces on the head and foot rests) are also problematic. Once you put them on, do not try to take them off again, or they will just wobble there. There is absolutely no way to tighten them or remove them once they are installed.
