I chose this bedframe based on the solid wood look from the photos. It did take two people an hour to assemble. The directions online are a bit more detailed than the ones that come in the box. Luckily, all the parts and pieces were accounted for. The wooden slats that will hold the mattress are rather warped and twisted. There are a few wooden dowels imbedded in the frame that line up with a few of the slats. As you can see from the photo, if you get one side to sit on the dowel, the other side is not making contact. I would have loved to give this bed 5 stars, but for two reasons I could not. First, the legs are not even. I followed the directions to a T and there is definitely uneven legs. This bed frame is great and looks to be made of nice material. The directions completely miss a few steps (putting the actual headboard piece onto the support posts), so I ended up having to undo some parts and redo them. I still couldn't get the headboard fabric piece to align exactly with the side posts. Assembly took around an hour. Also, the wrench that is provided is too big for the space the bolts are supposed to go, so it was very difficult to tighten everything properly. The bed does look exactly like the photos and the materials seem durable. I don't love that the support pieces underneath the bed are unfinished cheap wood, but that's pretty common.
