The bronze color is a rich matte finish brown. I am 64 yo and was able to build it by myself. It did take a while (NOT 1.5 hours for me) and as another reviewer said, pushing all those plastic pieces in was rough on the hands ! It does seem very sturdy though. Well built, not flimsy at all. Don't tighten anything at all until everything is together - leave it really loose. Had to go back and loosen at first for more flexibility in connecting. 8" mattresses coming tomorrow - $99 deal each so the whole thing will be less than $500 for my grandchildren when they visit so they no longer have to bring sleeping bags or camp out on the floor ! I'd show you after the bedding is on but I'll prob forget so here it is....for now. Wendy. Ocean, NJ. Thu Oct 15 2026

I needed a bed frame fast to accommodate my daughter visiting with her new born. The frame was delivered as expected. It was easy to put together, considering I am assemble challenged lol. I put it together without help. As a new mom my daughter was in and out of bed often and said it was sturdy. I’ve had it since 2023; the wood frame bars are still in tact, no crackling or squeaking and it’s been used everyday and still in excellent condition. I got this bed for my 8 year old daughter. Her previous bed had a bigger footprint that made her room very small. So I got this because it had shelves that didn't add to the width and canvas drawers for her art and toys. She LOVES it. It takes a while to build because there are a lot of parts, but it's an easy build. If you enjoy that process it helps :) The highlight is the strip light. My daughter just loves it and it makes her room look so much more her style. I do recommend the bed. It's sturdy. I only wish the it had more of a proper headboard. But she doesn't care.. Marianne.
