I orderd my dryer from the LG web site. I was anxious because I wasnt sure how smooth it would go. As it turned out- evrything went well, even when I needed to change the delivery and installation date. Also, I researched and learned that I got a better price ordering directly from LG. I had a complicated install with it being a stacked unit and installed in a smaller, yet adaquate laundry closet. The installers were excellent and gained my full confidence. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This compact washer has been a really nice setup for me. I bought it for an upstairs laundry closet area where a normal size stacked washer and dryer just would not fit in my home. We are running the water lines next week and I honestly cant wait to get it installed up there, but for now the photos show it in my basement so I could try it out because I couldn’t wait. It’s compact, so I wouldn’t expect it to replace a full-size washer for giant loads, but that’s not really the point. For towels, clothes, smaller bedding, and regular day-to-day laundry, it seems like a really nice option. I like that it still has a lot of useful features like the AI Smart Dial, steam settings, and a quick cycle that works great when you just want to wash a smaller load without waiting forever. It also looks really sleek, and the size is a big part of why I chose it. It will fit perfectly in a smaller closet area where having laundry upstairs is actually possible, which makes it feel like such a practical upgrade for everyday use. It feels like a very smart solution for smaller in-between loads and added convenience. Another nice feature is that it’s WiFi connected. I wouldn’t say that’s something I really need, but it has actually been super nice to have. Getting it connected was a little finicky and took a couple tries, and that would be my only tiny nitpick because otherwise this machine is 5 stars all the way. Once it was connected, everything worked great. If you’re like me and throw in a load of laundry and then completely forget about it for a day or two, the phone notifications are a lifesaver and can save you from having to wash the same load all over again like I usually do Overall, I think this is a great option for someone who wants the convenience of a washer in a smaller space or on an upper floor. For me, it’s already been a big quality of life upgrade, and once it’s fully installed upstairs I know it’s going to make staying on top of laundry so much easier. Bought this unit 13 months ago. We have not had any mechanical issues. However, there are 2 issues that are frustrating 1) the agitation and spin cycle excessively beat your clothes which produces ALOT of lint. There is no lint filter in the machine to collect the garment fibres that break off during these cycles. We had to install a lint trap in the stink drain to collect all the lint that MUST be cleaned after (and sometimes during) every use. If not, the lint will clog our drain pipe with grey hardened lint that requires a plumber to break it up! 2) dark clothes regularly get covered with grey lint smudges. These need to be cleaned off manually. because of this we question the cleanliness of the laundry. We just use tide liquid soap - at most level 3 of 5 on the measure. We will add borax powder or Oxiclean powder to the towel loads only. We bought GE based on the trust we had with our local independent retailer. We have a GE dryer and Fridge that are working properly. But the washing machine...? Probably would not buy it again. A relative has a HE Top load in another brand and they don't have these issues.. This the worst washer I have ever owned. So noisy. Does not spin as well as my old one that was 25 years old. Fabric softener spots on my dark clothes. No option for a deep rinse/fill for colours.
