I bought this to upgrade our current screen in porch door in order to get something more sturdy that would hold up better to the constant open and shut of people coming and going. While it is better quality, I don’t think it’s as durable as I had hoped. The side construction has a jointed area instead of a solid piece of wood and looks like it could come apart if it’s shut hard. I’ll be adding a metal plate to fortify it and it should be fine.. This is an actual security door. It’s heavy , reinforced and it attaches on the outside of the door frame for more stability. First, you are going to need to buy a knob and lock set for this door as it is not included. The directions are easy to read and it is easy to install.
