My condo has french doors in the living room and one bedroom. Even with blinds, the east morning sun heats up the entire unit, taking it all day to cool down. I have been able to lower my thermostat an average of about 2-3 degrees during the day since applying the film and I no longer have to keep the blinds closed tight all day. Surprisingly, it didnt make my room seem dark. The photo above shows the doors with film on the right side only and you can see it doesnt darken the room much. I love the way this looks on my window! We just completely replaced the trim around the window and did not want to cover up the beautiful woodwork job with a blind or curtain. Really neat pattern that looks very much like actual stained glass. It wasn’t enough to cover any of the windows in my house, so I chose to use it for a project I had been working on in our kitchen. I actually attached it to the backside of an open old window frame, like in my pictures. I didn’t need to pull off the sticky back since I was not attaching it to a direct glass window, so I can’t speak to the quality of the stickiness.. Chiara. Lone Tree, CO. Sat Jun 27 2026
