The instructions are rudimentary and you must use all clues in the drawings to correctly build this. Took me 4 hours of focused work, and that was not including unpacking and staging. - Two parts (15 and 16) had their label markers inverted, which was actually a fairly big problem and cost me 20 minutes. I did add a motion sensor light to each side and will probably add a few more under the shelves. (The strong smell others have mentioned was there ... until we turned our air purifier on (directly in front of the wardrobe) for several hours.) Love it! It is painted with a chalk type paint, very flat, no sheen, there are 2 pieces, the hutch and bottom drawers, it is very heavy and solid, took 3 men to lift the hutch onto the bottom drawers. There are no holes for electrical/cable cords, we had to drill those ourselves. The cabinet was missing 2 shelves as well as 1 drawer with putty filler, there was a mistake when they drilled the holes for the hardware pulls. It's nice, sturdy, and spacious wardrobe. In the instruction, it says that it takes 3,5 hours to assemble it...boy, it took us 3,5 days we started on November 3rd, and fully finished on November 5th. My hubby had his birthday on November 4rt, so now we are laughing that he was 46 years old when he started assembling the wardrobe and turned 47 when he finished it was extremely difficult because neither screws nor parts were labeled so we had to figure out what goes where...but we didi it. This armoire is the type of piece that brings old world charm to a modern space. I love how it brings a sense of story to the room. The biggest pain points for me were that it arrived with a big, jagged chip on the front leg, some odd stains on the wood in some spots that didn’t match the finish, and there were chips in finishing wax used to seal the wood that uncover an entirely different color underneath. I know the piece is intentionally designed to look vintage, but those specific elements don’t appear intentional. I did appreciate that all the doors are lockable, which wasn’t specified in the description, so that was a nice surprise, but the exterior plate covering the actual hole of the of the locking mechanism on one door doesn’t line up, so unfortunately it doesn’t lock. The doors that don’t have a key plate on the exterior do have sliding locks on the interior top and bottom. All in all, it’s truly beautiful, but not worth full price in the condition I received it..
