The bathtub is formed primarily from acrylic vacuum panels, which are then reinforced with fiberglass. This construction is more insulating and durable enough to withstand heavy blows without cracking or splintering. This bathtub is quite a high-quality Lucite acrylic and the acrylic is non-porous, which means it is more durable, retains heat longer, and is easier to clean.
