The expandable fence is as described. It seems well constructed and is very easy to put together. I am going to use it to block off an area for my dog. She is smaller so I’ll be adding something at the bottom for the gap, which is not an issue because most moveable fences have a gap at the bottom. I like that these are not super heavy so I can move them into place and put them away easily. I’ll note that I recognize that my dog can push through or knock over the fence because it’s lighter in weight. READ ME! I was a little stumped by the assembly of this gate, but once I figured it out (with NO help to the included instructions or video), I really do like it. Upon receipt when you unscrew the two main pieces of the gate, keep an eye out for 4 small square nuts that may fall out of the grooves. After you determine the size needed, these nuts are essential to hold the two gate pieces together. The video and instructions make it seem like you just simply fasten the screws into the grooves on top and bottom. Well, you do, but if you screw only into the grooves - without the square nuts - there is nothing to catch the screws, and thus, you will be unsuccessful. If you are luckier than me, and your nuts don't fall out of the grooves and go missing for a few days, you need to know that the nuts can be moved back and forth inside the grooves depending on the size you want. Use these nuts to secure your screws, and you'll be golden! I have two small dogs (up to 9 pounds each), and I chose this gate because it is adjustable to any size you wish, and it has feet (rather than needing to be secured to a wall). The feet can be placed along the bottom at any desired location (or you can opt not to use them at all). I chose to screw them in the bottom (but you don't need to) because it gave my gate added stability, and seeing how I plan to move the gate to other locations, this way I don't have to worry about the legs falling off during the moves. The feet have rubber pads at the bottom which help them stay in place on the hard floor. If you're looking for a gate where you wish to increase/decrease the size often to let dogs through, this isn't the gate for you as that would be a bit cumbersome with screwing/unscrewing; however, if you want a gate that sits at a certain size and can be stepped over or easily moved, this is perfect! So, we had a bit of trouble in the beginning but Wayfair made it right. The first gate was dented pretty badly, we returned it received the second one which was missing the screws needed to put the footers on. Instructions are easy to understand and all parts were received with quick shipping. It comes flat packed as panels, and I wish the arched angle at the top came pre-assembled. Without it, it can be difficult to get the gate doors even (see photo). It’s also very light, so I reinforced mine by driving rebar into the ground and drilling holes out in the feet and positioning the arbor over it. Without doing that, the arbor wants to swing when the gate is open. Now it’s solid. You will definitely want to reinforce it if you plan to grow anything on it. I bought two gates and they look fabulous.. . Very easy assembling. Just need someone's help to hold the pieces, otherwise any adult can assemble it. Got all the nuts and Allan keys for assembling, but i used another key for easy handling. Be careful when handling it as it is very easy to get scratches. Very nice gate . All my neighbours were so impressive on the designs... There are few bits to highlight for the improvement of the future products. 1) Some parts (Poles) were not finished well as there were some dents (un even surfaces - bit bad finishing) 2) The lock tongue direction is wrong. we usually open the gate to inside and the tongue direction should be the other way round which we cannot simply adjust with rotating the panels, etc, because of the design. 3) Do further more designs, So will have unique design for most customers...
