The quality is really good for the price point! We decided to find the glass that worked and then build our shower around the size of the door. We did have some broken parts arrive and Wayfair handled it very well and took care of us. Assembly wasn't an easy task, even for the professional I hired. It was necessary to uninstall it and reinstall it to get the glass positioned correctly because only one side of the glass is treated to avoid water spots. This is a high quality shower door and very attractive. The doors roll smoothly and silently on the rail and the bottom rail is designed to be cleaned easily. We have just installed new porcelain tiles in the shower. Had we had just about any other material it would’ve been pretty easy. Great glass panel, very heavy and clear. Before starting install, highly recommend getting the correct drill bits for going through the tile. Bargain of the century compared to the cost of a custom door. Great thickness and weight. Only issue is that when my spouse turns on the rain shower, the bottom sweep doesn’t suffice. Thanks to these high-quality pivot hinges, the door can be conveniently opened inwards and outwards. SAFETY GLASS All our shower doors are made of toughened/tempered glass. Tempered glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass. Tempering puts the outer surfaces into compression and the interior into tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards as plate glass (annealed glass) does. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury. ABOUT THE COLOR OF THE GLASS Note: This door is normally made in float glass, float glass is transparent and lets the light pass through without problems but if you look at it from the edge it has a greenish color.
