Formalities By Baum Brothers Victorian Rose Collection

Inspired by Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem, "Come into the Garden, Maud," the Soul of the Rose was a Victorian favorite for its celebration of woman, romanticly detailing the love and longing. Conveying the beauty of a garden similarly reflecting and framing the beautiful red-haired woman in blushing shades. Also known as "My Sweet Rose." John William Waterhouse, the well-known Victorian painter who embraced the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood's style, communicating his aesthetic vision through the vivid use of color, Neo-classical, formalism, and realistic depictions of strong women using romantic poems, Greek myths, and Arthurian legends. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. This replica European style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image. Proudly printed and framed in the USA using imported molding.
