I have had spinal surgery and need a firm mattress to support my back. The mattress would probably be great for many people, but I would not call this firm despite being labeled as such. I ordered the 12-inch mattress, and Ill admit I was a little hesitant when I first unboxed it because it was still expanding. However, after letting it sit for the full 48–72 hours, it fully expanded just as it was supposed to. As you can see in the picture with the bed frame, it looks great! It probably would have been ready around 24 hours, but we followed the directions and let it sit the full 72. It also had no smell, which was a plus. Fantastic bed! Incredibly comfortable and feels very similar to a high-end memory foam bed I just got rid of. Excellent value for the money. I ordered the 12 inch queen for a guest room, but I’ve been sleeping in here every night now. As soon as I unpackaged it, it pretty much inflated to the full 12 inches within about a minute. I did follow the instructions and left it alone for a couple days without bedding to allow for expansion. This is a perfect medium/firm in my opinion. The memory foam gives, as it should. However, (thankfully) you feel like you are sleeping on top of the bed rather than in it. It does feel much cooler than my previous memory foam mattress, so I will be using a bamboo mattress protector and sheets to maintain the coolness. The 12 inch looked surprisingly “high” off my standard box spring, and my former sheets are a little snug, but still work well. I was glad to see it is compatible with adjustable frames, because I intend to use one in the future. This spring mattress has both supporting force and softness, and has good resilience. You can use it yourself or commercially. The bottom is non-slip and has four-corner elastic bands, which can be well fixed. The cover can be detached and washed, which is convenient for cleaning.
