There is an obvious top and bottom so its easy to get into position before opening it. It inflated very quickly and does have that smell, which will probably take a week to fully dissipate. There is a anti slip texture on the bottom which means it very stable on the wood floor. The dogs already love it. Really like this couch so far. Got it for our playroom and it’s pretty comfortable and cozy. It fits two adults and is nice with the foot rest out. It’s not long enough for an adult to sleep on.
