This is a beautiful piece of wall art. There were no reviews when I ordered it, which is always risky. It looks as pictured, except the tree leaves are much more yellow than white. The frame also looks lighter in the product photos than in person. At first I was going to return it because of this, but the yellowish-beige ended up working in my decor, so I kept it. Lovely, but...Any person who loves nature will love this piece. The leaves are real, and dried, so they aren't a stark white, but rather a softer cream color. The frame is well made and velvet backed to protect the wall. The wooden frame is a bit lighter than the photo, more of an oak color, but goes well with the subject matter. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star rather than five , is that in the photo, the leaves radiated out from the center, leaving a bit of a hole in the center, and mine arrived with the "hole" totally closed. I love the piece, but there are 3 or 4 other similar items by this maker using these same leaves that have the exact look I want. The wall decors have always been our crown jewel. The amount of time and technic required to make this décor was tremendous. It started with the selection of tree barks. The size, kind, and color, all matter. Then our in-house craftsmen bathed them in spring water, boiled them for 48 hours then rinse them under running water to clear out all the impurities. After that, they shape all the “papers” by hand into a specific design. With hours of sun-drying to get rid of all the moisture, the paper-mâché centerpiece will be smoked using natural wood to add color and an aging effect. The end result is a marvelous wall décor with unparallel texture. With its sheer size, this set will decorate your entire wall space, hang them horizontally or vertically. It is very very pretty, i love this shadow box piece. It’s elegant yet classy. Makes a difference where ever you put it. Just added to my bathroom still in the process of decorating this room. But i love this picture. 5 stars. And none of the pieces fell out and it is well made. The only thing was the ups guy left it in front of my garage and it was 98 degrees outside, when i was opening it thought the picture was probably ruined and the gold leaves probably fell off.
