Winston Porter's Plant Brackets/Sign Holders are designed for hanging plants, birdfeeders, decorations, etc.

I bought this bracket to hang a vintage lamp that has been in my family for 40 years. It’s a really cool basketball lamp. I have plaster walls with brick underneath so I have to use concrete fasteners for hanging things. I measured. Drilled the holes. And I attempted to use my drill to put it up. Unfortunately because the bracket is a closed design I could not reach to get the screws flush and flat. But I also tested it and thought I had it in deep enough. However I was wrong and I woke up to a broke lamp. I was definitely devastated but knew my error. I should not have ever relied on it’s strength when I knew I couldn’t get in to fully screw in the screws. I think this could be a cute bracket in the right circumstances. So I guess the bracket is not to blame, so I need to make this review more fair because it was user error in this case. I would just highly recommend having a solid way to screw in the bracket knowing you can not fit a full size screwdriver or drill to get the screws in tightly.. Christy. Buffalo, NY. Tue Oct 13 2026

I ordered 2 sets of these planters. They look great on my deck filled with flowers. The only suggestion would be to have drain holes on them. The holes can be easily drilled, but would be more convenient for the customer if they were in place.. Elizabeth. York, ME. Fri Aug 21 2026

The self-watering feature prevents overwatering and underwatering as long as the drainage plug on the bottom of the planter is removed. This is because the water level will always drop to the top of the overflow drain. Your plant will then absorb the water as needed. If you're worried about underwatering and/or if it's hard to tell if the plant is dry, then we recommend watering frequently to avoid any chance of underwatering. That ensures there is always water available in the reservoir. Just make sure the drainage plug is removed so that the water does not overfill the reservoir, potentially causing watering-logging and root rot.

I loved it! Even though it is plastic, it has a nice look. Unfortunately, it is not to my husband’s taste so I have to return it.. Janie. Greenleaf, WI. Thu Aug 28 2025
